All of our services at BRBC are recorded and placed into a library. The recordings are available for loan to those who are unable to attend church on a regular basis - or who just want to listen to a particular sermon again.
For many years the recordings were made on cassette tape, but have now moved over to crystal-clear digital recordings that are reproduced on compact disc. In a recent interview with Bryan Kingsford, who heads-up the department, Bryan said: "I am very pleased with the way the new system has bedded in and encouraged by the way the team are getting to grips with the new technology".
The recordings are made in the small, well-equipped recording studio situated high-up in the gallery; they are then edited down ready for distribution on CD. Copies are regularly used by those associated with BRBC - with several being mailed out to those not directly connected with our church. Bryan explained that following a visit to our chapel early last year, a gentleman in Florida now regularly receives CDs: "the discs are used in his church as part of their Tuesday evening study, these same discs are then passed on to other churches around the area". It is good to know that the ministry of our Pastor Kenny can be widely appreciated!
The same team is also responsible for the church PA (sound amplification) that enables us to listen to our services with such clarity. The main chapel is fitted with an 'inductive loop system' for those that have a hearing disability.
